Permission was given for Dark Side Prince (GB) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring only.
The winner, Lady Quickstep (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Bath on 30 June 2021, where the filly finished last of eleven, beaten by 16 lengths.
The representative of Gay Kelleway’s explanation that Lady Quickstep (IRE) may have benefited from stronger handling on this occasion, was noted.
Following the race, Tom Queally reported that Clashaniska (IRE), placed seventh, was slowly away and Sebastian Woods reported that Expert Opinion (GB), which started second-favourite and finished sixth, ran too free in the early stages of the race.
