Prior to this race, Tim Vaughan’s representative was asked to explain the reason why he was running Cape Robin (IRE) here at Worcester on going described as Good, having declared the gelding a non- runner at Worcester on 17 August 2022 on ground with the same official description.
Vaughan’s representative stated that in their opinion, the Going on 17 August 2022 was slower than described, as it had rained during racing.
Following the race, Nick Scholfield reported that Kabrit (IRE), placed fourth, made a bad mistake at the second fence in the back straight in the final circuit and the Veterinary Officer reported that Cape Robin (IRE), unplaced, had lost both of its front shoes.
