The Stewards noted that Emirat De Catana (FR) had fallen on the bend running up the hill on the final circuit, but having received a report from the rider that the gelding fell as a result of taking a false step, and being satisfied that no other horse or rider was involved, no further action was taken.
The winner Court Baloo (IRE) appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Perth on 11 August 2020 where the gelding finished ninth of nine runners, beaten by 45 lengths.
Alistair Whillans explained that gelding benefited for the drop down class.
The Trainers explanation was noted and Court Baloo (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Border Victor (GB), placed third, lost its left-hind shoe.
