The Stewards requested a report from Robert Tyner, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Dontdooddson (FR), placed first, as compared with its recent form. The Trainer's Authorised Representative, Mary Tyner, reported that this horse had disappointed last time after some jumping errors but had come back to the yard in better form after his summer break. Having considered the report the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
An extended handicap steeplechase for four years old and upwards that have not won a steeplechase before 1st February 2019, other than one hunters steeplechase within the previous two National Hunt seasons (116 = 11st 10lbs)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap shall not be less than 11st 10lbs
Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each steeplechase won.
