The Clerk of the Scales objected to Tindrum (GB), placed second, ridden by Jason Watson and trained by Heather Main, on the grounds of the rider weighing in at 9st 4lbs having weighed out at 9st 6lbs.
Tindrum (GB) was disqualified and the placings were revised as follows: Chai Yo Power (GB), placed first; Cozone (GB), placed second; Rafiot (USA), placed third; Midfield (GB), placed fourth.
The rider, the trainer and the Clerk of the Scales were interviewed.
It was noted that despite the warm conditions all other riders that were required to weigh, weighed in either at the same weight, or slightly heavy, but still within the allowable parameters.
As the Stewards were unable to establish an explanation for the weight difference, Watson was suspended for 2 days and Main was fined £500.
