Shortly after jumping the second fence, Didero Vallis (FR), which was pulled up, lugged right-handed, lightly bumping One True King (IRE), placed second, which in turn, gave a bump to Dalamoi (IRE), placed fourth, causing Post Chaise (IRE), placed third, to be carried off its intended line.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference entering the first bend involving One True King (IRE), placed second, ridden by Mr Toby McCain-Mitchell, Dalamoi (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Mr Callum Pritchard and Post Chaise (IRE), placed third, ridden by Mr Harry Myddleton.
Being 7Ib claimers, Mr McCain-Mitchell, Mr Pritchard and Mr Myddleton were offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
Miss Lucy Turner, the rider of Didero Vallis (FR), which was pulled up, was also interviewed but found to not be involved in the incident.
Mr McCain-Mitchell was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to edge right-handed going into the bend when insufficiently clear of Dalamoi (IRE) to his inside, tightening that gelding for room which in turn caused Post Chaise (IRE), to be badly hampered when tightened for room on the rail.
