Permission was given for White Jasmine (IRE) and Brown Owl (IRE) to both wear a red hood to the start.
Tom Dascombe was cautioned as Prince Kendeux (GB) had arrived in the Parade Ring without its declared cheekpieces, which were then located and fitted to the colt before going to the start.
The winner, Nordic Glory (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Chelmsford on 10 August 2021 where the gelding finished tenth of 11, beaten by 10 ¼ lengths.
Michael Attwater explained that on its previous run the gelding raced wide from a wide draw and hung left-handed, which was reported on the day.
His explanation was noted; Nordic Glory (IRE) was routine tested.
Neil Callan, the rider of Gift Horse (GB), placed fourth, was suspended for 2 days for using his whip without time to respond approaching the final furlong.
Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Red Showgirl (GB), placed fifth, was outpaced, and Tom Marquand reported that Brown Owl (IRE), placed third, hung right-handed.
