Golden Melody (IRE) was kicked at the start by another runner.
Having been checked by the Veterinary Officer, the filly was deemed fit to race.
Approximately 1 furlong out, the winner, Velma (GB), drifted slightly right-handed at the same time as DANDY’S ANGEL (IRE), placed second, edged marginally left-handed, causing the rider of Two Summers (IRE), placed third, to take a precautionary check but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Velma (GB).
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that during routine testing, Golden Melody (IRE), unplaced, was lame right-hind.
