Upon leaving the stalls, Broughtons Bear (IRE), placed fifth, jumped left at the same time as Mi Laddo (IRE), placed sixth, jumped right, slightly hampering Milistorm (GB), placed eighth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Broughtons Bear (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start when Broughtons Bear (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Richard Kingscote, interfered with Gonbutnotforgotten (FR), placed seventh, ridden by Danny Brock and Rock Up In Style (GB), unplaced, ridden by Toby Eley.
Being a 7lb claimer, ELEY was offered accompaniment in the enquiry, but declined.
Richard Kingscote was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he drifted left towards the rail when insufficiently clear, carrying Gonbutnotforgotten (FR) off of his intended line, which in turn, caused Rock Up In Style (GB) to be briefly unbalanced on the rail.
Following the race, Toby Eley reported that Rock Up In Style (GB), unplaced, suffered interference in running.
