Permission was given for Stella Hogan (IRE) to wear a red hood in the preliminaries.
Passing the ½ furlong marker, Racing Demon (GB), placed second, hung right giving a bump to the winner, Haughty (GB), causing both horses to become slightly unbalanced.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The winner Haughty (GB), appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Leicester on 20 July 2023, where the filly finished seventh of eleven beaten 10 lengths.
The representative of Alan King explained that the filly may have benefitted from the first-time application of cheekpieces on this occasion and the drop in grade.
Their explanation was noted and Haughty (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Oisin Murphy reported that Racing Demon (GB), placed second, hung right under pressure.
Hollie Doyle reported that Penny Be (GB), unplaced, hung left throughout.
