The Starter reported that Casterbridge (GB) refused to enter stalls.
Eric Alston was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
Eoin Walsh, the rider of First Excel (GB), placed second, was suspended for 2 days for using his whip in the incorrect place in the final furlong.
The Stewards wished to hold an enquiry with Cam Hardie, the rider of Another Angel (IRE), placed sixth, as he appeared to stop riding shortly before the winning post, however, they were unable to do so as the rider had left the course.
They adjourned their enquiry to Newcastle on Saturday 12 January 2019.
