Following the race, Richard Johnson reported that Rhaegar (IRE), which started joint-second favourite and was pulled up, stopped quickly after the first circuit.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Rhaegar (IRE) failed to reveal any abnormalities other than the gelding had lost its left hind shoe.
The Veterinary Officer further reported that Louse Talk (IRE), which unseated its rider at the seventh fence, finished lame on its left fore.
