The Starter reported Mudawwan (IRE) was the subject of a third criteria failure.
The representative of James Bethell was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test, and that as it was the second occasion within the previous 12 months that Mudawwan (IRE) had been reported, a further report within the same period would prevent the gelding from taking a stalls test for 6 months.
The winner Gentlemen (GB) appeared to show an improvement in form, compared with its previous run at Southwell on 31 January 2019, where the gelding finished sixth of eight beaten 16 lengths.
It was noted that Phil McEntee could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Gentlemen (GB) was routine tested.
