KING’S CASTLE (IRE), placed second, appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newbury on 14 August 2021 where the gelding finished fourth of six, beaten by 15 ¼ lengths.
The Stewards noted Joseph Tuite’s explanation that last time out at Newbury, KING’S CASTLE ran very freely gaining a big lead only to weaken in the closing stages, whereas today, the gelding settled better and appreciated the quicker pace.
KING’S CASTLE (IRE) was routine tested.
