An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final ½ furlong involving Laser Guided (IRE), placed second, ridden by Oisin Orr and Boldly (IRE), placed third, ridden by Jason Watson.
When considering that the interference took place inside the final ½ furlong and margin between second and third being ½ length, the Stewards could not be satisfied that Boldly (IRE) would have finished in front of Laser Guided (IRE) had the interference not occurred and therefore ordered the placings to remain unaltered.
Orr was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed into the whip for a sustained period and without sufficient correction, causing Watson to take a check for several strides.
