Under the provisions of Rule 90 (iii), the Stewards allowed Masterstonemason, trained by F.Costello, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the horse was correctly vaccinated in accordance with Rule 91
The Stewards received a report from Mr. P.L. Malone, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that J.S. McGarvey, rider of Banjo, weighed in at 1.4 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that J.S McGarvey was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his clean record, they issued a caution on this occasion
P. Townend, rider of Fiesole (GB) trained by Eoin Doyle, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount struggled from early on.
