Permission was given for Perfect Sign (IRE) to wear a red hood to the start.
Grace McEntee, the rider of Black Sparrow (GB), drawn 3, was slow to remove the blindfold, resulting in the filly being slowly away.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, McEntee's explanation that her hand slipped from the blindfold on the first attempt and it had therefore required two attempts to remove the blindfold was noted.
Following the race, Lewis Edmunds reported that Heelsontherunway (GB), unplaced, ran green.
