The winner, Shallow Hal (GB), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Ayr on 29 September 2020 where the gelding finished last of eleven runners, beaten by 13½ lengths.
It was noted that the representative of K R Burke could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Shallow Hal (GB) was routine tested.
The performance of Gold Brocade (IRE), which finished eighth of nine runners, beaten by 10½ lengths, was considered.
The representative of Michael Appleby could offer no explanation for Gold Brocade (IRE)'s performance other than the filly had missed the break and therefore settled further back than intended on this occasion.
