Prior to this race, Susan Corbett was asked to explain why she was running Harleys Max (GB) here at Sedgefield on Good ground, having reported that the gelding would prefer a slower surface following its run on Good to Soft, Good in places at Newcastle on 28 March 2019.
The trainer’s explanation was noted that she is running out of options on softer ground for the gelding, but having walked the track today at Sedgefield, she was happy that the ground was well watered and would be suitable for Harleys Max (GB).
