The winner Hermes Le Gris (FR), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Hereford on 9 March 2024, where the gelding finished sixth of thirteen runners, beaten by 22 lengths.
Robbie Llewellyn’s explanation that Hermes Le Gris (FR) had freshened up after three quick runs and was more suited by the galloping track on softer ground, which was officially described as Heavy, Soft in places, was noted.
The gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that the winner, Hermes Le Gris (FR), was lame on its left-fore leg.
