An enquiry was held to consider interference on the crown of the bend turning out of the back straight when Babytaggle (IRE), placed second, ridden by Mr Shane Quinlan, interfered with Centreofexcellence (IRE), which was later pulled up, ridden by Max Kendrick.
Being a 7lb claimer, Quinlan was accompanied by the trainer.
Quinlan was suspended for 3 days, on dates which will be notified to him by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority, as he had failed to leave sufficient room for Centreofexcellence (IRE) on his inside, causing that gelding to be checked and stumble.
Following the race, Gavin Sheehan reported that Kilmoganny (IRE), which was pulled up, was unsuited by the fast early pace.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Babytaggle (IRE), which started second favourite and finished second, sustained a wound to its left fore, finished lame on its left fore and also lost its left hind shoe.
