Permission was given for Glacier Fox (GB) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post.
The performance of Motown Lake (IRE), which started second-favourite and finished sixth, beaten by 30¾ lengths, was considered.
It was noted that the representative of Christian Williams could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance on this occasion.
Following the race, Jonjo O’Neill Jr reported that On The Bandwagon (IRE), placed fifth, hung badly left-handed and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The Veterinary Officer further reported that Tumbling Dice (GB), placed eighth, and Glacier Fox (GB), placed seventh, both lost their right-fore shoe.
