The Stewards requested a report from Mrs S.A. Bramall, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Diamond Cauchois (FR), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Declan Nolan, Authorised representative of Mrs S.A. Bramall, reported that this animal was unable to handle the good ground conditions at Leopardstown on the 22nd January and more recently at Punchestown on the 5th February he was outpaced in the Pertemps Qualifier where he carried 9st 7 lbs. Today he carried 11st 11lbs in a lesser class of contest and on his preferred softer underfoot conditions which were contributing factors towards his return to form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
