Rounding the first bend, a free-running Switchel (IRE), placed second, shifted right-handed after running onto the heels of the winner, Quietness (GB), when the pace steadied and hampered Ready To Shine (IRE), placed fourth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Switchel (IRE).
Following the race, Ryan Sexton reported that Ready To Shine (IRE), placed fourth, was short of room in the early stages of the race.
