The Stewards interviewed K.C. Sexton, rider of Toushan, concerning his use of the whip from the last fence to the winning post. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that K.C. Sexton was in breach of R10(3)(c) by using his whip unnecessarily when his mount clearly had his race won. Having taken his previous record into consideration the Stewards suspended K.C. Sexton for 1 raceday
R.P. Treacy, rider of Dare To Endeavour (GB) trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled during any part of this race
