Permission was given for Lady Melody (IRE) to be led early to post.

The Veterinary Officer reported that Diamonds Dream (GB), trained by Frank Bishop, had been vaccinated for equine influenza within 7 days of the race and therefore could not run.

Bishop’s representative was interviewed, Bishop was fined £290.

An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving: Full Speight (USA), placed fourth, ridden by Luke Morris, Lady Melody (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Shane Gray and Dolla Dolla Bill (IRE), unplaced, ridden by David Probert.

Morris was cautioned for careless riding in that he allowed his mount to hang left-handed towards the rail when not sufficiently clear of a free running Lady Melody (IRE), carrying the filly onto Dolla Dolla Bill (IRE) which was briefly checked.

An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong involving: Lady Melody (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Shane Gray, Ladyleys Beluga (GB), placed third, ridden by Clifford Lee and PARKER’S BOY, unplaced, ridden by Kieran O’Neill.

Lee was suspended for 4 days for careless riding in that he persevered in attempting to take a run between Lady Melody (IRE) which had already hung left- handed, reducing the size of the gap and PARKER’S BOY when there was insufficient room to do so, which resulted in PARKER’S BOY being badly checked for some distance on the rail.

Following the race, Richard Kingscote reported that Get Boosting (GB), placed second, hung left-handed in the home straight.
