An enquiry was held to consider why Tim Vaughan, was running TRIXSTER (IRE) here at Southwell on going described as Good, having declared the gelding a non-runner at Hexham on 5 October 2018 on ground with the same official description. The representative of Tim Vaughan stated that having run at Warwick on the 4 October 2018 they didn't want to risk running the gelding on two consecutive days on Good going and would have preferred that going at Hexham on the second day to be easier than the Good going described.
