An enquiry was held to consider 2 instances of interference approximately 2-furlongs out involving Motagally (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Dale Swift, Embour (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by James Sullivan and Aberama Gold (GB), placed third, ridden by Billy Garritty.
Both incidents were found to be accidental as in the first incident, Embour (IRE) edged slightly left at the same time as Motagally (GB) lugged right- handed away from Aberama Gold (GB), resulting in Motagally (GB) and Embour (IRE) bumping and becoming unbalanced.
In the second incident, a short distance later, Motagally (GB) which was still unbalanced from the first incident, lugged further right-handed away from Aberama Gold (GB) carrying Embour (IRE) off its intended line.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Motagally (GB), placed fourth, bled from the nose.
