Owing to the low lying sun, the Stewards granted permission for fences 3 and 4 to be omitted from this race The Stewards interviewed Mr. R. James, rider of Kaiser Black, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found Mr.R. James to be in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) in that he used his whip with his arm above shoulder height. Having considered his record in this regard, the stewards cautioned Mr. R. James with regard to his future responsibilities
