The Stewards enquired into an incident approximately two furlongs from the finish involving US Army Ranger, ridden by R.L. Moore, and Lustrous Light, ridden by C.T. Keane, where it appeared Lustrous Light ran short of room on the inner. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no action other than to advise R.L. Moore to ride with more care in future.
