Permission was given for Fanzio (FR) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring.
The raceday privilege request in relation to Cedar Hill (IRE), trained by Sandy Thomson was not submitted.
Thomson was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all raceday privilege requests are submitted by 1pm on the day before racing.
The winner, Cedar Hill (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Lingfield on 21 January 2022 where the gelding finished fifth of seven, beaten 32 lengths.
It was noted that Sandy Thomson could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Cedar Hill (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, James Best reported that Sarasota Star (IRE), placed seventh, landed badly at the 6th last fence and the 4th last fence; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination revealed the gelding was lame left-fore with an over-reach wound.
