Inside the final ½ furlong, the winner, Turn On The Charm (FR), hung slightly left-handed causing William Buick, the rider of SWORD BREACH (IRE), placed third, to take a precautionary check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Turn On The Charm (FR).
Following the race, Ray Dawson reported that his saddle slipped on Zezenia (IRE), unplaced, which hung badly right-handed in the home straight and as a result he eased the filly out of the race.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly failed to reveal any abnormalities.
