Following the race, Bryony Frost reported that Django Django (FR), which was pulled up, made a couple of bad mistakes and was never travelling thereafter; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Django Django (FR) failed to reveal any abnormalities and that the gelding had lost both of its hind shoes.
The Veterinary Officer further reported that Ivilnoble (IRE), which was pulled up, lost both of its hind shoes.
