Permission was given for Ostilio (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Upon leaving the stalls, Ayr Harbour (GB), placed second, threw its head up and raced awkwardly for several strides, giving a bump to Arctician (IRE), placed sixth, which in turn shifted Trumble (IRE), placed fourth, slightly off its racing line.
Ayr Harbour (GB) continued to race awkwardly into the bend which resulted in the rider of Arctician (IRE) becoming short of room and having to ease his mount back as the runners approached the bend, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Ayr Harbour (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference turning into the home straight involving Young Fire (FR), unplaced, ridden by David Probert, Volatile Analyst (USA), placed fifth, ridden by Callum Rodriguez and Arctician (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by Luke Morris.
Rodriguez was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he made a misjudgement when committing for a gap when there was insufficient room for two horses, causing Probert to check.
Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Ostilio (GB), unplaced, ran too freely and hung right-handed throughout.
