The winner Art Of Diplomacy (GB) appeared to show an improvement in form, compared with its previous run at Ripon on 26 August 2019, where the gelding finished fourth of seven beaten 23 lengths.
The representative of M W Easterby explained that the gelding may have benefited from the step up in trip and the softer ground on this occasion.
Her explanation was noted.
1½ furlongs out, the winner Art Of Diplomacy (GB) edged left for one hit, giving a small bump to Funny Man (GB), placed second.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Art Of Diplomacy (GB).
