Enter The Indian and his connections have certainly had a prosperous 2008 and the four-year-old claimed his fourth success of this calendar year with victory here in this competitive handicap. His only other run since the turn of the year came when he was just denied in a similar contest and from a patient ride he stayed on gamely to the line once he was sent in search of his race. A well deserved break his now on his agenda.

Trikirk has now come up against one too good on two consecutive occasions in a week but he somewhat defied a three pound hike of last week to run another credible race and connections should be able to find a suitable opportunity.

Matthieu Palussiere's Chakeera obviously came on for the first run of the season and while closing in the final furlong she just couldn't quite get to the leading pair. Further progression from this should see her get her head even closer.

Dual performer Apt To Run ran a good race ahead of a campaign that is likely to be aimed at some good summer handicap hurdles. He stayed on well to be fourth and he will probably mix it over both codes throughout the summer.

Another dual purpose performer was Mooretown Boy who would probably have ran a better race had it have been quicker underfoot but this was an encouraging effort nonetheless.

Fifth place Maal was a bumper winner on good to firm ground last year and he does his best racing on ground that is like the road.
