I knew he would like that ground. He has won on soft and good ground but being by Westerner he likes to slog it out. I think he is saving a bit. The Stewards interviewed N. Terrassin, rider of Whatucallher, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, in the presence of Mr. Patrick Harty. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that N. Terrassin was in breach of Regulation 10.3(h)(arm above shoulder height) and having considered his record they issued a caution on this occasion

Shane Fenelon, rider of Ardaghs Choice trained by E.Sheehy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount failed to handle the ground.
