Permission was given for Ischia (GB) and La Equinata (GB) to wear a red hood to the start and BUDDY’S BEAUTY to go early to post.
The raceday privilege request in relation to La Equinata (GB), trained by Mike Murphy and Michael Keady, to wear a red hood to the start was late being submitted.
Murphy and Keady were warned as to their responsibility to ensure that all raceday privilege requests are submitted by 1pm on the day before racing.
The Starter reported that Buddy's Beauty (GB) refused to enter the stalls and was withdrawn at 2:37pm.
John Gallagher and the Starter were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
As the filly had also refused to enter the stalls at Brighton on 13 July 2022 and at Bath on 24 May 2022, Buddy's Beauty (GB)’s behaviour was referred to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, Gina Mangan reported that Angus De Bull (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away and Taylor Fisher reported that La Equinata (GB), placed second, hung badly right-handed.
