Following a request from broadcasters, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for a one minute delay to this race

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident early in this race involving Zelosa, ridden by R.C. Colgan, unplaced and Au Lait, ridden by N.M. Crosse, unplaced, where it appeared that Au Lait ran short of room close to the rail and had to severely check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. N.M. Crosse stated that Zelosa was hanging badly despite the riders best efforts causing him to run short of room. He further stated that R.C

Colgan shouted to tell him he was in difficulty. R.C. Colgan stated that his mount hung badly left throughout the race despite his best efforts. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no riding offence had occurred and therefore took no further action

R.C. Colgan, rider of Zelosa, trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left throughout and caused interference as a result of this.
