Permission was given for Interne De Sivola (FR) to wear a red hood to post.
Having reviewed recordings of the false start, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.
At the first fence, Interne De Sivola (FR), jumped left-handed, causing it to bump into Midnight Midge (GB), placed second, which contributed to Interne De Sivola (FR) falling, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The performance of Another Crick (GB) which started favourite and was pulled up, was considered.
Noel William's explanation that the gelding didn’t face the blinkers was noted.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Shane Quinlan reported that DESQUE DE L’ISLE (FR), placed fifth, jumped left- handed throughout.
