Joe Tizzard was asked to explain why he was running Kauto The King (IRE) here at Taunton on going described as Good, having declared the horse a non-runner at Taunton on 24th November 2022 on ground with the same official description.
The representative of Tizzard stated that in their opinion the Going on the 24th November 2022 was slower than described.
The performance of Zacony Rebel (IRE) which finished sixth of six runners beaten 43 1/4 lengths, was considered.
Toby Lawes could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination during routine testing of Zacony Rebel (IRE) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Joe Anderson reported that Voice Of Calm (GB), placed third, was unsuited by the lack of fences to jump.
