Following the race, Richard Johnson reported that Zoffee (GB) made a bad mistake 7 fences out and felt amiss thereafter so he pulled up the gelding; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Zoffee (GB) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Charlie Hammond reported that Rikoboy (FR), which was pulled up, didn’t jump fluently and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding revealed it had bled from the nose and lost its left fore shoe.
The Veterinary Officer also reported that Ballywood (FR), placed fourth, bled from the nose.
