The winner, Deise Aba (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Chepstow on 5 December 2020 where the gelding was pulled up.
Philip Hobbs’ representative’s explanation that the gelding benefitted from the first-time application of cheekpieces was noted.
Deise Aba (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Gavin Sheehan reported that Dominateur (FR) made a bad mistake and was subsequently pulled up and the Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding has lost its right fore shoe.
Sean Bowen reported that Ask Me Early (IRE), which was pulled up, was never travelling.
