Permission was given for Voi (GB) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring only.
Inside the final furlong, Voi (GB), placed second, hung left despite the rider’s best efforts to keep the mare straight, causing Quicksand (IRE), placed third, to be carried off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Voi (GB).
The performance of Sempre Presto (IRE), which finished last of seven, was considered.
The representative of Richard Fahey could offer no explanation for the filly’s performance.
