It was a fantastic performance and you would wonder what he would have done if he had stood up at Cheltenham. I was very pleased with his final piece of work during the week. It was one of the best bits ever although I thought the ground was getting a bit too dry for him. Ruby made use of his stamina. He'll probably go to France for their version of the triumph Hurdle. He's a chaser for the future. The way he jumps he'll probably go that way next season.

The Stewards enquired into an incident leaving the back straight involving Kentucky Hyden, ridden by B.J. Geraghty, Lindenhurst, ridden by M.J. Bolger, and Adriana Des Mottes (FR), ridden by P. Townend, where it appears Lindenhurst meets interference and checks. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards deemed any interference to be accidental in nature and took no further action. P. Carberry, rider of Guitar Pete, trained by D. T. Hughes, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran flat and may have been feeling effects of long season. D.N. Russell, rider of Tiger Roll, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Tiger Roll, at the request of trainer, Gordon Elliott, and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.
