An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the winning line involving Didero Vallis (FR), placed second, ridden by Charlie Deutsch and the winner, KITTY’S LIGHT, ridden by Jack Tudor.
Deutsch was cautioned for careless riding as he failed to take sufficient steps to prevent his mount drifting right causing Kitty's Light (GB) to be taken slightly off its intended line.
Charlie Deutsch, the rider of Didero Vallis (FR), placed second, had appeared to stop riding shortly before the winning post.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Deutsch explained that in his opinion the winner had already gone past him and although he hadn’t ridden as vigorously in the last two strides he did not feel it affected his momentum in any way.
His explanation was noted.
Following the race, Richie McLernon reported that Claud And Goldie (IRE), which was pulled up, made a bad mistake at the first fence in the back straight which caused the saddle to slip.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Duc De Grissay (FR), placed third, suffered an overreach to its right-fore pastern.
