Permission was given for Malangen (IRE) to go early to post.
The winner, Allbetsoff (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Southwell on 7 May 2024 where the gelding finished eighth of eleven runners beaten 18 lengths.
It was noted that the representative of Mark Walford could offer no explanation for the improved form.
The performance of Serious Ego (GER), which finished seventh of eight finishers beaten 12 ½ lengths, was considered.
The explanation given by Nicky Richards that Serious Ego (GER) was feeling the effects of a long season was noted.
The performance of Chumlee (IRE), which was pulled up, was considered.
It was noted that Patrick Wadge reported that the gelding ran too free and stopped quickly.
The Veterinary Officer examined Chumlee (IRE) during routine testing and found the gelding to be lame right-hind.
