I said to Brian going out if nobody else is going on then take a chance on it. We’ve been holding him up so many days and he just doesn’t see it out. We were lucky the loose horse came up and joined him. He would have pulled up big time if he hadn’t been there. Brian said he stayed on with the loose horse and it really did him a favour.

The Stewards requested a report from Edward Cawley, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Nobody Home, placed first, as compared with its last run. Edward Cawley stated that on his last run his charge raced mid division and never settled. Today his charge raced from the front and the change in tactics suited him better and in his opinion explained the improvement in form. Edward Cawley added that the presence of a loose horse aided his charge at the front of the field. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
