he did it very impressively and it seems it is a case of what might have been (regarding his layoff), but such is life. He's come back nicely and we'll see how he comes out of it. He's very laid back and it was difficult enough to get him as fit as I wanted for today but he was pretty right. He should improve, naturally and he'll have one more run and the English Champion Stakes looks the logical race. He's just a very good horse and he did it very very well. It's just a worry now that he stays sound and right.

The Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after the turn into the straight involving Hall Of Mirrors, ridden by J.P. O'Brien, Chance To Dance, ridden by K.J. Manning, Rock Critic, ridden by L.F. Roche, Free Eagle, ridden by P.J. Smullen, and Prince Of All (GB), ridden by C.D. Hayes, where it appeared Hall Of Mirrors was forced to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was accidental in nature and took no further action. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Brendan Brackan, trained by G.M.Lyons, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
For three yrs old and upwards that have not won a Group 1 or Group 2 race
Weights - 3-y-o 9st; 4-y-o and up 9st 7lb; Fillies allowed 3lb
