The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving The Greek, ridden by D.J Gilligan, placed first, and The Dara Man, ridden by L. Quinlan, placed second, where it appeared that both horses made contact on the run in. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

The Raceday Stewards interviewed L. Quinlan, rider of The Dara Man, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found L. Quinlan in breach of R.10.3(i)(time to respond) and considering his record in this regard they suspended him for six racedays in accordance with the provisions of Regulation 10.6.(a).

An extended handicap steeplechase for four years old and upwards
Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each steeplechase won.
Riders - Confined to Professional & Claiming Professional Riders who have not ridden more than 15 winners under any N.H. Rules from 1st May, 2022 to 29th April, 2023 inclusive. (Qualified Riders are excluded from riding in this race)
